Okay, updates for now.
Workwise, I have been transferred to a sister yard of mine. So from 51 Pioneer Sector 1, I'm now based in 15 Benoi Road. The changes are not only in my working environment, but in my jobscope as well. Basically back at my old place, I was hidden behind the computer. I didn't have to meet people and stuff, although I was in the Marketing Department, which is closely related to Sales.
Now at Benoi, my main job scope is to meet clients. This is something I thought I was never good at. Been here for 2 weeks now. Well, according to J, this is just a Temporary Job Rotation, so I hope I get to move back to Tuas Yard again. Though working with J can be quite a misery I'm sure it beats meeting with clients and trying your level best to please them. Well, atleast I think so.
Although the load here is much lesser compared to before, I am so not looking forward to meeting clients that I have broken out with acne. Friends told me that this is a sign of stress. It's pretty bad actually. Hopefully my hatred for work and acne problems recover soon.
Oh yeah, took my BTT yesterday. Managed to pass it at the first attempt. I was so not expecting it. I wasn't prepared at all. A few questions left me thinking and I thought that this was the end for me. As I touched 'End Test' button, I was expecting to see the 'Failed' sign. It was indeed a pleasant surprise for me. I definitely had to thank Letch for this. He was my main motivator for this whole driving thing. I was really 'touched' when he made the effort to come down near my place 2 days before the test just to go through the textbook with me and highlight the important questions. Being a moron at road signs and signals, he actually was patient enough to teach me from scratch. He also gave me many useful tips on what kind of questions I can look out for. And he actually came down all the way to the driving centre to give myself, Kohi and Dharsh the motivation we needed. I could see the anxiousness on his face when I stepped out of the test room. And of cos the sense of satisfaction when I told him that I passed. It's the best answer a student can give a tutor, right? Keke..
After the BTT, I decided to give a treat to all. We headed down to 'Country Manna' Restaurant at Serangoon Gardens and ate to our hearts content. This restaurant is apparantly one of Letch's favourite and he kept putting Swensen's down in terms of the food quality and pricing. Argh! But nvm, he was forgiven since he was the main cause of me passing my BTT. After the dinner, we headed back home. Now FTT is going to slightly more difficult. I have to put in more effort and not study just two days before the test, like I did for my BTT. All the best to me, hallelujia!
It is Friday today. I'm glad that I can catch up on some sleep on Saturday. Am really exhausted from work and stress.
