I got the job that I wanted. Weeeeeeee!

I was supposed to start work today, but I got food poisoning. It's so horrible. I'm sure that wouldn't have reflected too good on me, but I had no choice. I wasn't faking illness. I just don't know what did it have to happen today.

Today I came across a very strange incident in the Admiralty MRT station. Nowadays its so common to see young Indians and Malays doing volunteer services asking for donations for charity. Sometimes, I really do wonder where is this money going to. It's not only based on their appearance, (Most of them have dyed hair and dress like 'Ah Bengs') but also on the way they demand for us to buy the whole booklet of coupons for $10 instead of per page which costs $2. When you're doing volunteer services, it's really not right to demand for money like that. Worse is when they show us nasty attitude when we insist on getting only one coupon.

Coming back to today's incident, I was on my way to the clinic when I saw a familar group of 'volunteers' at the MRT station. An indian man, a chinese woman and a malay crippled man. All of them were aged about 30 or so.

As usual he approached me for the donation when suddenly the chinese woman was screaming at the top of her voice and ran towards a young Indian boy sitting at the corner. She started hitting him on his head and slapping him. The Indian man who had approached me then ran to stop the woman. He pushed her hand off screaming 'Stop it lah, Aunty! Aunty! Enough lah!'. I was impressed on how he got himself involved to stop the poor boy from getting bullied. So I walked to the clinic and got myself registered, then sat down at a corner. There was only a glass door seperating me from the boy. He was sitting outside the door.

The indian man then started threatening the small boy. I couldn't hear much. I was then shocked cos the boy started addressing the man as 'Appa' (Daddy in tamil). I was quite confused and was waiting for my turn to see the doctor. The small boy looked very helpless and was sitting very uncomfortably. Suddenly the man started shouting at the boy, and walked to the Chinese Woman and complained something about the boy to her. I could see him pointing at the small boy in anger. The woman then ran to the boy and started kicking him on the stomach. The indian man did nothing this time. He was just smiling to himself while watching the show. The small boy started crying very loudly. All of them noticed the crowd's attention on them, and dragged the boy elsewhere.

I guess they decided on a switch of location. I really wonder how the boy ended up there. If the Indian man was the father of the small boy, he's a heartless creature. I wonder why do these morons need kids for. Assholes.
